Jan Janszen Van Breedstede

Jan married Marritje Andriessen, daughter of * Andries Luycaszen Andriessen and Jannetje Sebyns, on 1 Nov 1647.⁷⁷² (Marritje Andriessen was born about 1632 in New Amsterdam and died in 1675 in New Amsterdam.)

2. WOUTER VAN BREESTEDE, was bap. 25 Dec. 1650 at the Reformed Dutch Church of New York. Wit.: Adriaen Pieterszen, Lucas Andrieszen, and Tryntie Jans.

3. ANDRIES VAN BREESTEDE, was bap. 27 Oct. 1652 at the Reformed Dutch Church of New York. Wit.: Jan Thomaszen, Thomas Hal, and Dorothee Jans. On 4 Nov. 1674 at the Reformed Dutch Church of New York he mar. ANNETJE VAN BORSUM, who was bap. 30 Apr. 1656 at the Reformed Dutch Church of New York (wit.: Pieter Van Veen and Marritje Loockermans), a dau. of Egbert Van Borsum and Annetje Hendricks.

4. ENGEL VAN BREESTEDE, was bap. 29 Nov. 1654 at the Reformed Dutch Church of New York. Wit.: Volkert Janszen, Jan Andriesezen, and Engeltje Jans. On 23 Aug. 1677 (with banns published there 6 Aug. 1677) at the Reformed Dutch Church of New York she mar. as his first wife JAN FOCKE, who had no birth or baptismal record and was b. abt. 1651 in Ruyner, Province of Drenthe, Netherlands, a son of Focken Jansz and Magriet Hendricks. Engel died prior to 1692 in which year Jan mar. as his second wife Elisabeth Blanchan.

5. PIETER VAN BREESTEDE, was bap. 15 June 1656 at the Reformed Dutch Church of New York. Wit.: Olof Stephenszen Van Courtlt. and Aechtie Laurens. On 13 June 1677 (with banns published there 27 May 1677) at the Reformed Dutch Church of New York he mar. as her first husband ENGELTJE HERCKS. Pieter died prior to 4 May 1686, on which date Engeltje mar. as her second husband Jan Evertsen.

6. SIMON VAN BREESTEDE, was bap. 10 Feb. 1658 at the Reformed Dutch Church of New York. Wit.: Cornelis Steenwyck and Anneken Loockermans. He died young.

7. SIMON VAN BREESTEDE, was bap. 17 Aug. 1659 at the Reformed Dutch Church of New York. Wit.: Egbert Wouterszen and Sytie Andriens. He died young.

8. SIMON VAN BREESTEDE, was bap. 27 Mar. 1661 at the Reformed Dutch Church of New York. Wit.: Cornelis Steenwyck and Anna Loockermans. On On 16 June 1686 (with banns published 27 May 1686) at the Reformed Dutch Church of New York he mar. JANNETJE VAN LAER, who was bap. 21 Oct. 1662 at the Reformed Dutch Church of New Amsterdam (wit.: Adriaen Van Laer and Jaepje Jans Van Rosendael), a dau. of Stoffel Gerritse Van Laer and Catherine Jans Boots. On 3 Sept. 1681 Jannetie joined the Reformed Dutch Church of New York.

9. GEERTRUYD VAN BREESTEDE, was bap. 14 May 1663 at the Reformed Dutch Church of New York. Wit.: Corn. Janszen Clopper and Sytie Ariaents.

10. TRYNTJE VAN BREESTEDE, was bap. 21 Feb. 1666 at the Reformed Dutch Church of New York. Wit.: Stoffel Hooglant and Heyltie Pieters. On 16 June 1686 (with banns published there 21 May 1686) at the Reformed Dutch Church of New York she mar. THOMAS FRANSZEN OUTWATER, who had no birth or baptismal record and was b. abt. 1665, a son of Frans Jacobsen Oudewater. Tryntje died 8 Apr. 1706 and Thomas died 7 May 1753, both in Monachie, NJ.

11. MARIA VAN BREESTEDE, was bap. 18 Apr. 1668 at the Reformed Dutch Church of New York. Wit.: Jacob Abrahamszen and Tryntie Cregiers. On 2 May 1688 (with license granted the day of their marriage) at the Reformed Dutch Church of New York she mar ANDRIES THOMSON.
