bullet  Noted events in his life were:

• Biography. 516 Paul Carrigan and his brothers Patrick and Peter were
originally from Ireland and were living on part of the Saratoga
patent when the War broke out. Paul's statement [ NAC, A.O. 13
Vol 12, Reel B-2185, pp. 29-32] tells us that the Americans had
insisted they join their Army, and not wanting to side with
them, they fled their property and country in October 1776 and
joined Jessups Corps. Paul Carrigan stated their loss in
property to be 563 pounds.

Paul married Mary Scott, daughter of Walter Scott and Mary Sharp (Fleming), before 1795. (Mary Scott was born about 1770 and died on 26 Oct 1801 in Noyan, Missisquoi County, Quebec, Canada.)
