Robert Carpenter

  Noted events in his life were:

• Occupation: sheep farmer. ⁶⁴⁸ He came from a family of sheep farmers. Robert was a well-to-do sheep proprietor. His 1607 will lists his wife, who was his cousin Eleanor Carpenter, their children (William, Richard, John, Charles, Robert, Edith, and Alice), a grandson named William and a brother named Richard. Robert married Eleanor Carpenter, daughter of Robert Carpenter and Isabella Storke, about 1575 in England. (Eleanor Carpenter was born in 1550 in Wiltshire, England and died before 1590.)
