bullet  Noted events in his life were:

• Moved, Between 1605 and 1620. The authorities in Langnau were more hospitable towards Anabaptists, so we moved our family to Langnau, Bern, Switzerland between 1605 and 1620.

• Admonished, 1650. 610,611 I was admonished in 1650 by the local minister of Langnau for being an Anabaptist. The admonishment from the minister was the prelude to further restrictions. The new regulations included additional taxes and the Redemption Act. This Act stated that the non-Mennonite could repossess at the initial purchase price land having been sold by a non-Mennonite to a Mennonite.

• Farming. 612 Annabaptist were known for testing different farming techniques such as the cultivation of casparsette (a variety of clover), the use of the potato, improved feedlot practices, and the use of minerals as fertilizers. On the side, we raised dairy cows from which we were able to produce quite a market in milk and cheese in 1650.
