bullet  Noted events in his life were:

• Immigration, 1717. I immigrated with my father in 1717.

• appointed, 24 Dec 1737. I was appointed as administrator of my brother John's will.

• appointed, 1738. In 1738, I was appointed trustee in a deed of trust covering the land necessary for a meetinghouse.

• Occupation: stone mason. 728 I was a stone mason and used my skills to help build the Skippack Mennonite Meetinghouse. It was the second Mennonite Meetinghouse in America. My nephew of the same age, Valentine Hunsicker was my assistant.

• Property, 27 Dec 1748. We bought 156 acres on December 27, 1748 from Dielman Kolb and his wife Elizabeth. The land is located on the present day Allentown Road, south of Franconia. Reverend Dielman Kolb and his wife immigrated to Pennsylvania with my family.

• Assessment, 1769. In 1769, I was taxed for 156 acres, 4 hourses, 7 cattle and no servants, which totaled 16 pounds and 11 shillings.

• Revolutionary War, 4 Oct 1777. 728 On October 4, 1777, George Washington's men passed by my homestead as they retreated from the battle of Germantown. The soldiers took the Allentown road with the wounded on their way to the hospital in Bethlehem.
