Hendrick married Petronella Dewitt, daughter of Dr. Nicholas Claes Dewitt and Taatje Cornelisz Van Leuven, on 21 Mar 1676 in New Amsterdam. (Petronella Dewitt was born about 1642 in Groatholdt, East Friesland.)
