• Notes of Interest. Sir Robert Algore, of Brazen Head, Essex, near Lindsell. The name Brazen Head is called this from a large lion's head of brass which was affixed to the outer gate. This leonine door knocker which gave the farm its name is now exhibited in the British Museum.
